Later assigned to security detail at Port Chicago Ammunition Depot.

Transferred to USS Teaberry AN-34 for remainder of active duty

1951 returned to inactive status

1962 Recalled to active duty for Berlin Crisis

1962-1963 USS Woodson DE-359

1963 shipped over USN

1964-1967 USS Turner DDR-834

1967-1969 Company Chief OCS, Newport, RI and advanced to SCPO

1969-1974 USS Belknap DLG/CG-26, advanced to Master Chief and assigned to Senior Enlisted Advisor

1974-1977 Exam Center Ellyson Field, Pensacola, FL

1977-1980 USS Albany CG-10 Sixth Fleet Flagship homeported in Gaeta, Italy

1980-1985 USS Puget Sound AD-38 relieved USS Albany CG-10 as Sixth Fleet Flagship

1985-1988 Exam Center, Sauley Field, Pensacola, FL

Retirement ceremony held aboard the Battleship Wisconsin June 1988

Now residing in Pensacola, FL with wife of 53 years
