Comments: Master CHIEF The page on the Navy Chief as senn by.... is great. Your providing an excellent service to this community. Keep up the good work. Although you are a "Snipe" there are a lot of us "Airdales" who appreciate the service you are providing. This page was invaluable during my initiation last July-September. The knowledge contained within must not be lost but past down through the next generation of "Chief" Petty Officers. Please help us to remind our folks that the division is not as important as the department, nor is the department as important as the command, nor is the command as important as the national Mission Accomplishment. Again keep up the good work.

Comments: Howdy fellow Chiefs, I am currently stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes. It is a rewarding but challenging job. This is my first experience with the Goat Locker E-Mail, but being a fellow Chief I already feel at home. I have been in the Navy for 15 years. I started out going to Boot Camp in Orlando (Jul 83), followed on by B.E.E. school. I then finished up by ET"A" school. My first "real" duty station was Pax's River Maryland (84-86). I transferred to the Precommissioning Unit for USS Avenger (MCM-1). In 1990 I moved to Fleet Mine Warfare Training Center Charleston SC. On a beautiful sunday night in August 1990 I was called to arms and sent TAD back to USS Avenger and left for war 4 days later. After the war I finished my tour at FMWTC. I then moved on to USS Halyburton (FFG-40) Jun 94. Made 2 Persian Gulf Cruises and now I find myself here. I have a beautiful wife of 14 years and 3 children (12,11,9). I am not a computer "geek" by nature but I thought I would give this a try. When I made ETC a few years ago they told me that the goat locker was the largest botherhood in the world. I now see we have expanded this to the electronic highway. So what has anyone heard about the up coming Senior Chief board? Good luck to all. Signing off for now. If the address seems alittle weird it is my wifes address I currently do not have one. But my wife is a Chiefs wife, honorable and Damm Proud of my initiation. John McCauley Initiated and Damm Proud of it!!!
