To even further keep entries secure from SPAM I have added a "2" after every @ symbol in each email address. So if you go to email someone remove the "2" from the address.

Comments: Joined the Navy but 12 of my 20+ yrs were FMF; therefore I became a Marine having to wear their uniform and all. Love the Marines. Made Chief and wore my own uniform until Fleet Reserve. Lost out on Chiefs priviledges because I was on Marine Corps Bases. Retired in Corpus with no retirement ceremony, had a plaque mailed to me, thats all. Had a messup in my orders from USMC which caused it; however; with much regret I was no longer Regular Navy. I am extremely proud to have been a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Made it while attendinng college. As a retired FMF Corpsman I still have good report with Marines. I now serve (at age 75) in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Program Visitors Officer. Coasties are a top notch group. Proud to belong to them. We work for USCG and Homeland Security as members of "TEAM COAST GUARD." Would recommend them to all of you to serve your community and your country.No contracts involved. Quit when you want. This is the 3rd official uniform that I have the privilege to wear. Try it, you'll like it !!

Duty Stations: Date of service Dec 1952-June 1975. Last duty station was NAS Lemoore, 1972-1975. Made Chief June 1962. initiated at CPO Club at Pearl Harbor enroute to WestPac. The old style initiation that can never be forgotten. I was a Chief in the real navy, The USS Cowell DD 547, it should have been sub pay. No way to the Bridge or Combat from the inside. The last ship was USS Reeves DLG 24 at Pearl, left there in May 1972 just back from a West Pac tour.
Comments: There's nothing like being a Chief in those days. The Chiefs were close, we had great Chief Clubs then. Yep, theres nothing like being a Navy Chief.
