As for me, I finished 21 years of service this past October and will most likely retire at this tour's end.

I worked for Sperry Univac, and was a CETA. I would believe that these three ships would count as duty stations also. They were: USS Berkeley DDG 15 USS Linde McCormick DDG 8 USS Tarawa LHA 1 I got to see both sides of the coin on these three vessels, as a Chief and as an officer. I was a LCDR equivalent but spent a lot of time in the Goat Locker with my peers, which was, and still is; my home of preference. If I could do it over, I wouldn't change a minute of it! Thank God for the US Navy, and the VERY SPECIAL rate of CHIEF..... Am One, and will die One.... I live permanently in French Polynesia (yes, Tahiti) on the island of Raiatea, the original Hawaii. (Every Chief should be able to retire to a tropical paradise, where the maidens have beautiful brown skin, go topless and whose breasts point to the heavens.) I am looking for a Master Chief John A. Thomas ETCM USN Ret. I would very much enjoy hearing from any and all shipmates that might have served with me or known me.... It's been a long time and there is only one Chief in Tahiti (me). Thanks again Master Chief, and I will be back......
